In December 2019, the Temuco court finalized the trial against four Mapuche community members accused of expropriation to the Los Héroes Compensation Fund [compensation funds are private entities that are responsible for managing social security benefits] in Galvarino, which occurred in April 2018. In this occasion, the expropriators managed to seize 70 million from the financial branch, but after a police siege, they had to take the cashier and the bank manager hostage while they were being shot at by the police.

Finally, justice now decides on the life of the community members, as follows:

Álvaro Millalén: Absolved

Lonco Alberto Curamil: Absolved

José Cáceres: Condemned to 24 years for robbery with violence, frustrated homicide of police officers in service, illegal bearing with conventional weapon, violation of residence, possession of conventional firearm and illegal possession of weapon.

Victor Llanquileo: Condemned to 21 years for robbery with violence, frustrated homicide of police officers in service, illegal bearing with conventional weapon, violation of residence, possession of conventional firearm and illegal possession of weapon.

Solidarity with the Mapuche community in war against the Chilean State!
