Historically, the prison has been designed for those who for various reasons do not fit in or do not submit to the logic of domination and exploitation that the powerful on duty offer as the life we should live.
Prison is one more consequence of our unwavering conviction to declare ourselves eternal enemies of capital, the state and its lackeys. Political prisoners are the ones who assume with our own lives the propagation and expansion of the permanent insurrection against misery and the destruction of humanity as a whole.
Subversion is the essence of every process of struggle, be it popular or revolutionary, which reaches a point where they tend to stagnate as a result of countless events… but mainly where a large part of the organization have agreed to spaces of power, turning to a fight of an institutional nature and framed under the rules of the powerful, thus maintaining the governability of the bourgeois state and seizing the dreams of the poor.
The October revolt was a moment in which all hatred and discontent erupted against the entire political class. All expressions were unleashed in total violence against private property, repressive institutions and apparatus… a beautiful explosion against the established order.
Where to point with this awakening?
Will we continue to accept offers of power?
Will we continue to accept another plebiscite to “humanize capital”?
How many imprisoned, murdered and maimed brothers and sisters should we sacrifice?
For dignity to become a habit, it implies that there is will and daily praxis in each comrade and community to make qualitative leaps in the popular struggle outside the institutional margins… The ballot boxes or their shitty reforms don’t fit here… everything is in our own hands.
The experiences of past defeats remain alive… pulsating and growing in such a way that we will be able to surround on all sides those who in a past battle defeated us.
For dignity to become a habit, it is urgent and necessary to organize and fight!
I am grateful to all those who today do various acts of solidarity to demand freedom for the political prisoners of the revolt, subversives and Mapuches.
However, the greatest help to those of us who find ourselves behind these walls today is not only the demand for our freedom, but also increasing the struggle to open greater paths of liberation for the people.
Today, especially, I take the opportunity to send a big hug to all the subversive and insurgent kompas, who have kept the clarity of dignity and conviction intact, despite their long sentences, thanking them for their wise words, strengthening the indomitable spirit that we carry within.
WITH OUR FALLEN BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN OUR MEMORY AND ACTION
UNTIL VICTORY OR DEATH!!!
TO CONTINUE STRENGTHENING THE ORGANIZATION AND THE POPULAR PROTEST!!!
WHILE MISERY EXISTS, THERE WILL BE REBELLION!!!
NEWEN AND KORAJE
Pablo Bahamondes Ortiz “OSO”
Subversive Kompa of Villa Francia
Note: Comrade Pablo was arrested on September 8, 2018 along with 2 other people while he was moving in a vehicle which was intercepted by the BIPE (Special Police Investigation Brigade); inside were found different handmade shotguns; later they are raided their homes where they find more weapons and ammunition among other elements. The police tell the press that the detainees were under investigation for the explosive attack against the Melipilla Judicial Assistance Corporation that occurred in May 2017 and on the verge of developing possible actions (presumably) before a new date of commemoration of September 11. Pablo was imprisoned for a time in the High Security Prison, but currently, he is still incarcerated serving preventive detention in the Santiago Uno Prison, accused under the Arms Control Law and for the explosive attack against the CAJ of Melipilla in the metropolitan region.
