Road Blocked in Mexico

In Mexico City, on Thursday, October 24, 2019, following social uprisings in South American countries (in Chile and Ecuador), a group of 20 to 50 masked people blocked traffic with tires and traffic furniture inflamed on the Avenue de Insurgentes Sur, at the metrobus station “Ciudad Universitaria”. A Metrobús station and a truck belonging to the multinational ‘Coca-Cola’ were vandalized, the goods thrown into the street (then destroyed or expropriated). The ‘Metrobus’ Transport Service has therefore been suspended.

Twenty people also deployed banners in the middle of the road in solidarity with ongoing revolts in Ecuador and Chile: “Prisoners of Chile and Ecuador - Freedom! But also “We are at war Piñera, against capital and your state of siege! “.

The anarchists withdrew from the area around 6pm when the police arrived. They dispersed inside the City University where they could escape the controls.

Initiated around 4:30pm, the action has disrupted traffic for nearly an hour and a half without anyone being arrested.
