Revolutionaries in Portland, Orgeon Fight Against Authorities for 47 Days

Out of the massive uprisings across the United States over the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and tens of thousands of other black and brown people at the hands of the police, one city has emerged as a forerunner. Revolutionaries in Portland, Oregon have been fighting authorities with relentlessness and zeal for over six weeks.

Tear gas, rubber bullets, beatings, and now kidnappings by unidentified armed goons, claimed by the Department of Homeland Security to be Border Patrol agents, have not dissuaded the fearless.

They have been fighting the enemy daily at the Federal Courthouse, tearing down a fence made to contain the demonstrators and launching projectiles such as glass bottles, frozen water bottles rocks and broken pieces of metal from the fencing. They have deployed lasers effectively as well. At least one police officer has been reported injured from a thrown brick.

On Friday, June 26, revolutionaries set fire to a police precinct and smashed out it’s windows.
