The community of Pancho Marivil Dos is once again entering the estate, “La Montaña,” usurped by the settler, Jaime Muro Cuadra. Currently the community is exercising their right to their traditional territories, carrying out a process of ancestral territorial recuperation. The community has the duty and necessity to recuperate the territory, to continue being Mapuche. If they do not, large land owners will negotiate with construction companies and will begin urbanizing the territory adjacent to the communities. These territories, on the outskirts of the city of Labranza, a few kilometers from Temuco, are already overcrowded. The Mapuche people are losing their life based on the land due to the expansion of cement, pollution, smog, noise and all the other things of which the city entails. This includes the loss of the countryside, along with the loss of sacred spaces like the ancient cemetery where our Kuifi rest. Thus, the community is obligated to carry out the recuperation of their ancestral territory, to give continuity to Mapuche life in the countryside. On the land, with the nguilaltuwe, paliwe, orchards, farms, animals and hills. We must take care of the environment at all costs against the intervention of the capitalist and large landowning companies that profit, exploit and deteriorate Mapuche territory.
We make a call to everyone to be attentive to the development of this process of recuperation and reconstruction of the Mapuche Mongen. During recent months, there have been grave episodes of repression against the Peñi and Lamgen who are exercising their right to their ancestral territory through legitimate struggle.
Support, show solidarity, accompany, struggle, resist and recuperate! For the continuation and development of the weychen all over Wallmapu!!!!
With this communique we want to make clear that the community of Pancho Marivil Dos will not compromise before false proposals and negotiations on part of the business sector.
Out with the large landowners!
Out with forestry, real estate, hydroelectric plans and all projects that seek to take our Wallmapu.
Freedom to all of the Mapuche political prisoners. Wewaiñ!
