Former Guerrilla Mauricio “Ramiro” Hernandez Norambuena in Solidarity with Hunger Strike of Mapuche Political Prisoners

Brothers from the south of Bio Bio:

A great fraternal and combative hug to all the peñi [Mapuche word for “brother”] imprisoned by the Chilean State, prisoners for rising against the usurper state. This long march that you have started, not without enormous sacrifices and with a lot of courage, has its reward in what will be sowing hope and possible victories, so that the Mapuche people in their ancestral lands can exercise their sovereignty.

I have seen your beautiful flags displayed on the streets as a symbol of libertarian struggle. The Revolt started in October has spread the just Mapuche cause in all the hearts of the popular world and in all corners of this long and narrow land.

From another prison, I am battling against oppression that this same state uses to crush and silence any reference to rebellions of yesterday or today.

Much newen [Mapuche word for “strength”] and victories !!

Ramiro.
