Clashes With Guerrillas Wound Three Policemen in India

Three Policemen Wounded

Three security personnel sustained bullet injuries when CPI guerrillas opened fire on a bus carrying the police to the Hudanga dam site in Kharsawan in the Seraikela-Kharsawan district on Monday, May 20.

The guerrillas detonated a landmine targeting the bus and followed up by firing at the enemy. The rebels were able to safely retreat into the dense forest on the border of Chaibasa and Khunti dsitricts. During the course of the gun battle, two Special Auxiliary Police (SAP) and one district policeman received bullet injuries.
