Anarchist Prisoner Soheil Arabi Started Hunger Strike in Iran

Soheil Arabi, anarchist prisoner detained in Greater Tehran Prison, went on hunger strike because of the lack of facilities for keeping inmates and the violent behavior of prison officials. A week after the hunger strike of this political prisoner, he was transferred to a prison health care due to the deterioration of his situation. He is on hunger strike from Saturday, June 15th.

Anarchist prisoner Soheil Arabi was arrested in 2013 because of anti-government texts and texts that criticized religion. First, he was sentenced to death and then, in another court, he was sentenced to 11 years in prison. Currently, he is spending his 11-years conviction in Tehran’s Great Prison, Iran.
