In a written statement, Jinên Tîrêjên Rojê Initiative said: “We will fight against this mentality and fascism everywhere and in every area and won’t stay silent about the massacre of women.”
The Initiative added that they carried out five separate actions in Istanbul between July 19 and 23, targeting a textile warehouse, a shop and six vehicles belonging to fascists.
Actions were listed as follows:
“On July 19, a textile warehouse and a vehicle belonging to fascists in Esenyurt, Istanbul were burnt.
On July 20, 3 vehicles belonging to fascist AKP-MHP members were destroyed by our units in Tuzla, Istanbul.
On July 22, 2 vehicles belonging to fascist AKP-MHP members were destroyed by our units in Fatih, Istanbul.
A shop belonging to fascists was hit with handmade explosives in Haramidere, Istanbul on July 22, burned and destroyed.
On July 23, our units carried out an action for a service vehicle belonging to the occupying police in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul. As a result of the action, a police van was burned down.”
